Lois Lane #70 Cleaning !

  First off a big thank you to my buddy +Sean Brown for his awesome set of books he sent this week ! wow its been a real thrill ride. He had bought a high grade LL70 ( 1st Silver Age Catwoman ) and man it was a nice book only a slight crease on front and back cover and a nasty little area of dirt on the front cover.

YUP , bring it boys ... man this book looks great now 

Dry Cleaned and then pressed ... man i fell in love at first sight but now i was like , sean i love your book.... i dont say that much and i see alot of nice comics come across my desk.

Pressing results for Action #521 , the dreaded imprinted writing on cover !

Action Comics #251 ! Hot 1st Vixen issue

    Got an Action Comics #521 in today from my buddy +Eddie Z that's got one of my least favorite pressing issues ( the dreaded imprint on cover from someone writing on a bag REALLY hard then it goes into the cover ). I wont lie to you this is really tough to get out sometimes but can be done with a little technique that i call straight-edge-post-humdity-pre-press flat thing. Basically using something flat and rubbing it arcoss the inside of the cover after applying Humidity. This help takes the impression out also when pressing i sometimes place a stiff board under the cover so it has something to rest against while the pressure of the press is on it.

Took 2 Pressings to get MOST of it out i might do a 3rd to see if i can get it to fully disappear !

" Yes Please "said my 6 y/o daughter ! when i asked her if she wanted me to add this to my weekly midtown pull. This book being an Indy and possible low print run could sell out FAST ... i guess we will find out soon ! 

I'm not much into the modern spec and flip , but i thought id just throw this out there. Thats what the pro's do right ?
