Can Interior Pages Be Fixed with a Press ?

Got this Question the other Night on my Google+ Pressing Page from +Matt Riley ... so here ya go bud. This type of damage can be fixed with a press and usually with very little extra work, depending on how far the stress marks go into the book.

THE DAMAGE : Stress marks carried over from the outside spine into the interior pages.

Post Press Results :

Swamp Thing #37 Pressing out a price ...

SO, The other day I won this Swamp Thing 37 and it had 9.00 Written REAL hard on the outside of the bag. Not even thinking about it until i got it in hand and out of its bag and board... but the 9.00 was etched into the books cover real bad.

Never had a book like this , never had to press one ... so here is the damage.

And The Follow up after the press...

So i guess that comes out rather easy huh ? 1 lil' press and i think i increased its value 30-40 bucks easy.
Well find out i guess after i throw it up on the bay.

Thanks for the look and as always NEED A PRESS ? HAVE A QUESTION ? shoot it at me asebullion@gmail.com

WATER DAMAGE ! Yup its BAD folks Comic Book Pressing Tales To Astonish #44

I'd like to start tonight by thanking +Marq Romero for this Submission ... What a great Learning tool for you and ME on Water Damaged Books. About 95% of the Waves / Wrinkles came out after 1 press , along with the first and last interior page damage. The whole book was like this and the cover already has marvel chipping around the edges so we decided to not expose this book to any more and leave the rest of the interior alone. Which is the wise choice in this situation , we already added so much value to the book that anyone buying this is just looking for a nice presenting low grade copy and this would fit the bill for sure.

So to answer your questions on " Can water damage be fixed ?" here ya go , buying the right book with little staining can net a great result... this book does have the major staining especially on the back but man does it show well now , at least on the front cover.

Well Pictures tell more than words ... here's the damage ... and the Magic. Enjoy

as always don't be afraid to contact me with any questions asebullion@mail.com
Thanks again Marq and have a great night !

Spine Roll Fix ! Part 2

Roll gone .. no shadow what so-ever. Yeah the spine was rough to begin with but id say overall with the press the book jumped a full grade along with the rest of the fixes to the cover.

UP next maybe this weekend we will look at a WATER Damaged book and see what we can fix and not fix. Thanks to +Marq Romero

Great Example of another Press-able defect ! Spine Roll

Got this book in from a large lot of great books from my man Larry ... This is such a great example of spine roll and a great example of a press-able defect.

This type of defect happens when books are stack on top of each-other for a long period of time and when books are uneven in the the box stored without cardboard backers and the weight of the stack sits against other books in the back of the box.

Tune in SUN. to see if this was corrected / or was it just to far bent ?

Thanks for the look guys and gals ! and as always any questions about my service don't hesitate to email me at asebullion@gmail.com
